METAL BLADE FOUNDER BRIAN SLAGEL TALKS 'KILL EM ALL' WITH METALLICA

Brian Slagel, founder of the massively influential Metal Blade Records, sat down with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich of Metallica for a surreal meeting of the metal minds recently. The trio discussed the impact of Metallica's iconic self-titled album, Kill 'Em All, 25 years after its initial release. Behold the revealing discussion - it's one that you won't want to miss:

SOULFLY SHOW OFF NEW VIDEO FOR 'UNLEASH'

To use an obvious expression, Soulfly have 'unleashed' the new video for "Unleash," the first single from the band's upcoming  sixth studio album, Conquer. The video features an inspiring co-vocal performance from frontman Max Cavalera and Throwdown mainman Dave Peters. Conquer is set to be released July 29 via Roadrunner Records. For now, you can check out the video:

FANTASTIC FOOTAGE FROM AN AMAZING HELLFEST '08

I think I might be more sorry about missing a festival than ever. The lineup for Hellfest 2008 - which occurred this past weekend in Clisson, France - was possibly the most stacked I've ever seen. In order to ease my grief, and yours as well, I have compiled a select list of some of the best footage that's been uploaded from the festival. Check it out:

Morbid Angel are back together and killing it with David Vincent back behind the stick and new guitarist Destructhor shredding away. Where the fucking slime live!

JUDAS PRIEST RELEASE UNUSUAL NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR 'WAR'

Judas Priest have released a brand-new music video for "War," off of their recently released new LP, Nostradamus. The video, which was premiered by the Headbanger's Blog, is a computer-animated spectacle which doesn't present even a glimpse of the legendary British metal band, but rather focuses on great apocalyptic imagery. Watch it for yourself:

The Black Dahlia Murder have stayed true to their word and filmed a very impressive new music video for "Everything Went Black" that is themed like the classic 1982 horror film, "Creepshow." The video - which premiered on the Headbanger's Blog earlier today - is a fantastic representation of the film, which itself was based on the popular horror comic books of the '50s. John and Brad had told me when I interviewed them that they would be going for something a little different on their next music video, and they certainly did. Check out the video - which was directed by David Brodsky - right here:
