The "Unholy Alliance: Chapter 3" tour just got a whole lot more... unholier? Swedish viking death-metallers Amon Amarth are adding their pagan brand of metal to a tour that already includes the almighty Slayer (fuck yea!), Trivium (eh), and Mastodon (boo). Some new dates have been announced as well.

Jamey Jasta - metal's version of the Energizer bunny - just won't quit. The Hatebreed frontman's sludgy side-project with Crowbar's Kirk Windstein, Kingdown of Sorrow,
have scheduled some brand-new dates in support of their debut album,
which was released in February. They will first hop on the Rockstar
Mayhem tour in the northeast, before headlining two shows with Scum of the Earth
in the midwest. After adding their name to Ozzfest in Dallas, they will
close the mini-tour with a headlining appearance in Windstein's home base of New Orleans

Danzig is set to headline the "Blackest of the Black" tour as part of a 20th anniversary celebration for the band. They will be joined by a very impressive - and diverse - supporting cast, which includes symphonic black-metallers Dimmu Borgir, popular goth-metallers Moonspell, deathcore standouts Winds of Plague, and thrashers Skeletonwitch. Everyone's favorite Swedish Vikings, Amon Amarth, are going to be making the long trek across the pond on their Viking ship to entertain the masses in the U.S. and Canada this summer. Somewhere along the way they'll pick up The Absence from Florida to contribute to the destruction. The tour begins October 1 in SoCal (nice!) and will run until October 21 in West Springfield, MA. Venues have not yet been announced, but the following dates have been confirmed:

After the U.S. and Canada get slaughtered this summer, the Summer Slaughter tour will take a trip across the pond for a relatively short trek through the U.K. Returning from the U.S. portion of the tour will be Born of Osiris, and they will be joined by Suicide Silence, As Blood Runs Black, Abigail Williams, Annotations of an Autopsy, and The Berzerker. Some may call this lineup somewhat weaker than the other legs of the tour, but it is what it is. Check out the tour dates...
