Strange goings-on during the Iron Maiden performance at the "world's most famous arena," Madison Square Garden, on Sunday. Midway through the song "Powerslave," the sound completely cut out, leaving the band standing on stage with their hands in their pockets. That's when the fun started...
























According to Blabbermouth, rather than stand around like a bunch of goofs, the band, being the consummate entertainers they are, played an impromptu game of soccer on stage (association football for all you English blokes.) The New York crowd showed their undying respect for the band by going wild during the whole unfortunate situation. Most hilariously, once the sound had come back, vocalist Bruce Dickinson grabbed the mic and took a dig at Sharon Osborne, who allegedly had had Maiden's power cut off several times during their infamous performance in Los Angeles at Ozzfest 2005.
