BLEEDING THROUGH CALL OUT TRUSTKILL FOR 'BREACH OF CONTRACT'

From the "DRAMA" file, Orange County metalcore sextet Bleeding Through have called out Trustkill Records head Josh Grabelle for allegedly breaching their contract. In a guest blog for Headbanger's Blog, the band spoke out against Grabelle's recent actions.

Bleeding Through claim that they are "100% against" an upcoming special-edition release of their 2006 album, The Truth. They suggest that the reason the label is releasing it is to try and compensate for ongoing financial problems. The band went so far as to allege that Trustkill has been reduced to being "Josh and one employee in his basement."

Here is a telling passage from their blog:

"We have kept silent about the fact that we made our new album with a loan from our singer's dad, a loan from our management and less than 25% of our recording fund from Trustkill. They breached our contract (not for the first time) on March 31, 2008, when we hit the studio without proper funding and have failed to cure the breach. In five years we have never gotten a royalty statement on-time, let alone paid on time. Right now he has owed us royalties since March 31, coincidentally the same day this album began and when 50% of the budget was due!"

Finally, Bleeding Through have publicly threatened legal action:
"We have weighed all of our legal options with Trustkill, but we really wanted to resolve this face to face and direct. Josh has given us no resolve other than a lot of broken promises. We have told him we don't want the fight. We just want our album to be paid for and to come out so we can move on from this crappy situation. He still hasn't paid."

Regardless of their troubles, Bleeding Through have promised to fulfill their obligations this summer. They are scheduled to make several appearances at European festivals, before hitting the road in North America with Bullet for My Valentine.

Here is a track list for the band's upcoming album Declaration, which will be based on the rigors of the road:
"Finis Fatalis Spei"
"Declaration (You Can't Destroy What You Can Not Replace)"
"Orange County Blonde and Blue"
"Germany"
"There Was a Flood"
"French Inquisition"
"Reborn from Isolation"
"Death Anxiety"
"Beneath the Grey"
"Seller's Market"
"Sister Charlatan"
