SIX FEET UNDER ENTER STUDIO TO RECORD NEW ALBUM

Chris Barnes is a human marvel. He has been growling for death-metal bands for two decades now and hasn't lost a lung! His current band, Metal Blade recording artists Six Feet Under, recently entered Morrisound Recording Studios in their hometown of Tampa, Florida, to begin recording their eighth studio album.

Morrisound is synonymous with death and thrash metal, having been the site of the recording of an unbelievable amount of classic records over the years, including Barnes' former band Cannibal Corpse's Tomb of the Mutilated and Sepultura's Beneath the Remains.

The yet-untitled disc is expected out by the end of year. Here's what the band had to say about it on Six Feet Under's Web site:

"We have entered Morrisound Studios here in Tampa to begin recording our new CD! It feels like coming back home! Chris Carroll is at the helm, laying down the new tracks. Also, our old friend Bill Metoyer is helping out with recording the drums. It's awesome to have Bill with us on this one - as you may know, he recorded our [1997] CD Warpath. It's great to be back in the studio and we feel really psyched to lay these new songs down. They are some of the best stuff we have come up with, and [we] can't wait for all of our fans to hear the new stuff!"
