Further updates to the Ozzfest announcement made last week have been posted on the official Ozzfest Web site. Lars has made his opinions on playing Ozzfest known, two bands have been added to the bill and the on sale date for tickets has been announced.


























Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich gave his thoughts on the band making its first ever Ozzfest appearance: "In 1986 Ozzy [Osbourne] gave us our first break by taking us out on tour here in America, so whenever we get the call to play or hang together, of course our response is 'F--- yeah... just tell us when and where and we'll be there.' We're psyched about our first Ozzfest experience and looking forward to hanging with all our metal buddies on what surely will be a great f---ing day in Dallas."

Two additional bands have been added to the "Texas Stage" as well. Fort Worth thrashers Within Chaos and Dallas groove-metallers The Destro have been added to a stage that will be "an homage to the many great metal bands that come from Texas," according to Sharon Osbourne, organizer and producer of Ozzfest.

Finally, it has come to light that tickets for the festival will go on sale on Saturday, May 31.
