Vikings, raise your goblets high! Sweden's favorite Norse warriors, Amon Amarth, have announced that they will be charging their steeds into Fascination Street Studio later this week to record a new album.

The disc - which will be the band's seventh - has already been written, according to the band's Web site. Amon Amarth have revealed that the 10-track LP will, of course, be "the most brutal stuff" they've ever written, with "some really epic moments." You know, in case you were worried that they would go country or something...

Perhaps the most enticing revelation is that the new album will feature multiple guest appearances, but the band is remaining tight-lipped at the moment as to who it will be.

If you don't think you can wait for the album, don't worry. The band will be keeping fans updated throughout the entire recording period. "We will try our best to keep you updated with vlogs, photos and a studio diary," the band said. "Provided that we can tear ourselves away from the PS3, Wii and, of course, a healthy serving of Swedish vodka."
